Cancer affects millions of people every year. It takes a toll on both physical and mental health, leaving many people feeling lost and overwhelmed. That’s why K21 is proud to financially partner with the Kosciusko Community YMCA’s LIVESTRONG® program to help those affected by cancer reclaim their total health and well-being.

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a free program designed to help anyone 18 and older who is living with, through, or beyond cancer. Participants work with YMCA staff who have been specifically trained in supportive cancer care to help participants safely achieve their goals. The program focuses on the whole person and not just the disease, which helps people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind, and body.

LIVESTRONG® provides the opportunity for anyone affected by cancer to get into a healthy and active lifestyle. With a free 12-month YMCA membership included participants get the chance to attend two classes a week for 12 weeks, focusing on cardio and strength training, completely customized to the individual.

“At K21 Health Foundation, we recognize the immense impact cancer has on individuals, physically, financially, and mentally,” said Rich Haddad, CEO of K21 Health Foundation. “That’s why we are proud to continue our financial partnership with the YMCA’s LIVESTRONG® program to help empower and assist those affected by cancer in reclaiming their overall health and taking first steps towards a healthier future.”

If you or someone you know has been affected by cancer, consider joining this program to start taking steps towards a healthier future. To learn more about LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, contact Susan Potter at spotter@kcymca.org.
